The Premier League doesn’t understand Luton Town

As I sit here writing this, I’ve just seen a post seemingly confirming that the muddled assortment of orange and navy seats in a section of the Kenilworth Road main stand have been replaced by some brand-new, but uniform, replacements.

Luton writer Kevin Crowe describes this as “like seeing a dead family pet” immediately underneath.

The almost 120-year-old stadium has become something of a novelty in the Premier League, with the Oak Road Entrance slowly becoming a tired joke as the summer prog

First ever Lioness captain’s legacy lives on as England face Scotland

England take on Scotland tonight almost 50 years since the two sides contested the first ever official international women’s match in Great Britain.

An FA ban in December 1921 meant the women’s game was limited to public parks only, but in 1972 Sheila Parker led her side to a 3-2 victory in an Auld Enemy clash as the Lionesses’ first ever captain.

Angela stressed that Sheffield FC was an important part of the local community.

She said: "We are are at our busiest when the team are playing locally.

"The club is definitely important for the local community, you’ve only got to see the number of people walking down to the c

When Sheffield went to Wembley

“There was no chance they were going to beat us at Wembley and we believed that." Carlton Palmer said, reflecting on one of the biggest games of his career.

In April, it will be 30 years since Palmer donned the blue and white stripes of Sheffield Wednesday and stepped on to the turf at the old Wembley stadium to face bitter city rivals Sheffield United in the FA Cup Semi-Final.

For Palmer the game was one of many highlights in a career which saw him pick up 18 England caps and over 200 appeara
